Obviously something went terribly wrong.”Police confirmed they were called to the Foveran area around 10.15am on Monday and a man was arrested.Michael Sutherland, from the Ellon area, appeared from custody at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday in connection with the alleged shooting. The 37-year-old who was charged with culpable and reckless discharge of a firearm, made no plea and was released on bail.Detective Inspector Stewart Kidd said: “There was a number of officers involved in the inquiry.“A small number of which were firearm officers.”
It was Andy Richardson, and it was a .243, 10 rounds off... , the farmer had a earlier insident with a shotgun, that didnt have the desired effect so he got his rifle, i think the guy owned the land inbetween the guide and took exception to them shooting geese, they had to crawl a ditch to escape... iv always said farmers were nutters

Let me tell you this young lad can shoot this morning saw him get off to slow start we will put this down to a early rise but boy once he got in to them he did some damage.
This young kid took not just one right and left but one after another 1st up 2 Canada geese bang bang down they went without his father even putting his gun up that confident his young lad would do the damage next up two pinks right over the decoy's the shout come from the guide go on lads up stood the young lad bang bang two pinks down another right and left what a shot this kid is.
Let me tell you there was another 4 lads on the other side of the field and this young lad and his father put there guns away at 15 geese with the other getting 11 shows te quality in the young lad.

1ST flight of season in Aberdeenshire
Well today seen me visit Aberdeenshire for the 1st goose flight of the 2009-2010 season and what a flight the lads had.
Well the geese started to arrive around 7.30am and did not stop coming in what a slight SO many geese just fold there wing's and set up and come right in to the decoy's we had skein after skein just drop right in. The lads had some of the best goose shooting there is out there and they enjoyed every min of it until we called it a day with a good bag of geese had.
I have to say i am really thinking off moving up Aberedeenshire full time with regards to all my goose shooting client's as this is the number one place in Scotland for geese no two ways about it there was geese everywhere in the sky this morning.
I hear there is a record high in the Aberdeenshire area with regards to numbers off geese in the area at the moment.
I will be back up north in the next week or so cant wait.
Thanks

Roe Buck stalking Fife
Well been back out staking with a couple of french clients this week. The week has went OK so far with a couple of nice buck's showing but one thing or another stopping us putting it one in the bag.
Well this morning we where able to add a nice looking six pointer to the bag and what a nice buck he is. Well the stalk was also fun with there being six doe's in the field it took us 1 hour to get in position to get the shot off.
The buck was took at around 130 yards with a 306 monster rifle it did not go far about 10 yards then went over which was nice to see after so many bucks playing hard to get this week.
Thanks
